Meet the Long Beach Team Behind Seedling ADU Long Beach
Every ADU, garage conversion, and home addition we build in Long Beach comes down to the people who show up at your door. Our crew is local, trained, and background-checked, and most of them have been building in Southern California for over a decade. What unites them isn’t a corporate handbook. It’s a shared habit of doing the small things right, like laying drop cloths before the first tool comes off the truck and sweeping the job site before anyone thinks to ask. You’ll see the same faces from estimate to final walkthrough.
Our People

Marcus T. – Lead Technician
Marcus has 14 years in residential construction, the last six focused almost entirely on accessory dwelling units and garage conversions across Long Beach, Lakewood, and Signal Hill. He holds a California General B contractor license and has completed factory training with Abodu and Boxabl, which means he can walk a homeowner through panel set day without guessing what the manufacturer needs. He’s the person who walks the lot first, flags drainage issues before they become foundation problems, and keeps the schedule honest. When he’s not on a job site, he’s usually fishing off Belmont Pier, and he’ll tell you the halibut bite is better than it’s been in years.
Elena R. – Senior Installer
Elena has been building with our Long Beach crew for eight years, starting on home additions and moving into prefab and modular ADU installs as those projects took off in the area. She’s certified in Mighty Buildings and Cover assembly and has led finish work on more than 40 ADU projects in Long Beach alone. Her specialty is the tight work, door and window flashing, siding alignment, the details that show up ten years later if someone rushed them. She lives in North Long Beach and keeps a running list of the best breakfast burritos near every job site.
Danny K. – Service Coordinator
Danny is the voice on the phone for most of our Long Beach families, and he’s been doing it for five years. He manages permits, inspections, and material deliveries, and he’s the one who answers at 9 p.m. when a homeowner wants to know whether the inspector is still coming tomorrow. He grew up in Long Beach, knows the permitting quirks of both the city and LA County, and can tell you exactly which forms to expect and when. He keeps a notebook of every project he’s coordinated, and he can pull a detail from a job three years ago faster than most people can find their car keys.
Jordan P. – Apprentice
Jordan joined the crew two years ago after finishing Long Beach City College’s construction technology program. He works alongside Marcus and Elena on framing, dry-in, and finish stages, and he’s already passed his OSHA 30 and lead-safe work practices certification. He handles a lot of the job site protection setup, shoe covers at the door, drop cloths down hallways, floor protection taped and checked, and he treats it like the most important part of the day because for a family with kids, it is. He grew up in Bixby Knolls and is the first person on site most mornings.
One Standard, Every Job
The crew in Long Beach operates under the same rules as every Seedling team across the state. That means a written price before any work starts, no exceptions, and the 365-Day Done Right Promise in writing on every contract. If something isn’t done right, we return and make it right at no cost to you. The Cedarwell Care Promise applies every day: shoe covers and drop cloths inside the home, pet-safe products wherever there’s a choice, and a photo of the clean-up before the crew leaves. Each of these rules exists because a real problem happened once and someone decided it would never happen again. Ben Ortega, the owner, still walks job sites in Long Beach every week to make sure that standard isn’t slipping.
